Not sure who blo gsal dge slong grags pa bstan bzang is, or if he is the author or the scribe of this text. +
Based on earlier works by gter dag gling pa and mkhyen brtse'i dbang po +
I think the addendum signed Khyentse Oser, was probably written by Dilgo Khyentse. +
I'm assuming that the decoder of this work is Drikung Rinchen Phuntsog Chokyi Gyalpo signing his personal name Natsog Rangdrol, as he was a close collaborator with Sherab Oser on many of his treasures. +
"Written by All-Knowing (Longchenpa) and extracted from the Lama Yangtig."
ཀུན་མཁྱེན་གསུང་བླ་མ་ཡང་ཏིག་ལས་སོ +
This work is extracted from Longchenpa's mkha' 'gro yang tig, but it is the empowerment for the mkha' 'gro snying thig, and so I've recorded Padma las 'brel rtsal as the terton. +

I'm basing authorship of the text on other works attributed to Dilgo Khyentse with similar colophons +
Again, I'm basing authorship on the similarity of this colophon with other works attributed to Dilgo Khyentse +
Terton attribution is based on clarifications within the text that state that nyang ston sgrub pa po is another name for Nyangral, whom is well known under his actual name Nyima Oser. However, there also seems to be another layer of narrative that links this revelation to [[Yol mo sprul sku shAkya bzang po]] +
There are two texts included under this title, the short root treasure by Nyangral and the longer rjes gnang by Kongtrul. +
Since, according to the colophon, this work was derived from a manuscript written by Khyentse Wangpo, he is given authorship credit. +
This cycle is one of Khyentse Wangpo's yang gter +
theg mchog rdo rje signs this work as karma pa bcu bzhi pa +
rat+na gling pa signs this works as rin chen dpal bzang +
rin chen phun tshogs chos kyi rgyal po signs this works as 'bri gung pa sna tshogs rang grol +

I'm not sure which version/revelation of the Sangs rgyas sras gcig that this work is based, since there are kama versions as well as several treasures, such as that of Jatson Nyingpo and Rigdzin Godem. However, this work also includes extracts from Sangye Lingpa's Lama Gongdu and Ratna Lingpa's Longsel Nyingthig +
Not sure whom the dri med rdo rje mentioned in the karchag is, or what his relationship to this work is. +
There seems to be several authors and treasure cycles involved in this work, but they don't seem to be mentioned by name +
