It is not a revelation in and of itself, but rather it is based on revealed material drawn from the individual treasures of a diverse group of renowned Tertöns. Though Kongtrul is said to have based the Terdzö on this earlier work, it was only in the second edition produced after Kongtrul's passing at Tsurphu Monastery between 1909 to 1912 that it was included in the Terdzö itself.
